Ella Solin, MSc.
Registered Psychologist, Alberta
Certified Hakomi Therapist (CHT)

In my practice I honour the interconnectedness of mind-body-spirit. I am influenced by Eastern contemplative practices of meditation and yoga and draw on developmental psychology, psychodynamic and attachment theory with new research in neuropsychology. With my gentle, experiential and mindfulness-based approach, I assist my clients to heal past wounds, which are still having an impact on present day behaviours and choices. In turn, my clients learn to identify, feel and express their emotions, discovering a deeper sense of self and satisfaction.

I have worked with adults and adolescents, individually and in groups, dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, relationships, self-esteem, transitions, and lifestyle management (exercise and health behaviour adherence). I am currently specializing in adolescent girls and young women between the ages of 14 and 28 and their families with the above issues as well as with eating disorders, substance abuse, and self-harm behaviours.
